Extensa Group successfully completes its inaugural bond issue of EUR 75 million
The private placement of bonds maturing in 2020 and 2022 raised EUR 75 million, exceeding the target of EUR 40 million.
Following the establishment of its EMTN programme for an amount of EUR 150 million, Extensa Group called on the market for a first issue. Extensa Group has successfully completed its inaugural bond issue of EUR 75 million, divided into two tranches with a maturity of 3 and 5 years. The bonds listed on Euronext Growth Brussels offer gross actuarial yields of 2.5% and 3% for the tranches with a maturity of 3 and 5 years.
After a roadshow in Belgium and Luxembourg, and based on the extensive positive feedback from investors, Extensa Group successfully launched its bond issue, thus taking advantage of favourable market conditions. With a combined order book of EUR 140 million, investors expressed their interest in the transaction and the Extensa Group business model. Over 45 institutional investors and qualified intermediaries in Belgium, Luxembourg and France took part in the transaction. BNP Paribas Fortis and Belfius Bank were joint bookrunners and Linklaters LLP advised Extensa Group during the process.
Extensa intends to use the funds raised to refinance certain debts, and to finance the renovation work on the Gare Maritime, a project at the iconic Tour & Taxis site.
“This bond issue not only enables us to diversify our sources of finance, but also raises our profile among investors in several countries. We would like to thank them for their trust,” said Kris Verhellen, CEO Extensa Group.
